In September, last year I travelled to Cornwall for a four day residential leadership course. The Nature of Leadership was a fully immersive learning journey based within the Eden Project. The course included ten delegates from all backgrounds and different parts of the world.
All our learning took place within the biomes or the great outdoors enabling us to connect with the landscape both physically and emotionally helping us to develop new leadership models to engage in problem solving of some of the most critical and complex challenges of our time.
As a member of The Eden Project inspiration is constantly available from Sir Tim Smit and his team. A tier one world resource on our doorstep. The lessons, feelings and connections have been embedded in me allowing me and the Norfolk Bluebell Wood team to embark on another stage of our vision to make the Burial Park fully sustainable both socially, environmentally and financially. Our Environmental Policy is the first step in the ‘road map’ to guide us to a sustainable future caring for the environment we live in. To that end we have signed up to BEE Anglia to become more energy efficient and reduce our carbon footprint.
