cremation service
Our cremation service provides an alternative to a traditional cremation. The funeral service takes place in the Cedar Hall followed by an unattended cremation without family and friends in attendance at the crematorium. Our small and experienced team work with your funeral director to care for your loved one in the usual dignified and personal manner. An unattended cremation is a comforting choice should you prefer not to attend the crematorium.
At Norfolk Bluebell Wood we offer a peaceful and calming oasis of tranquillity to say goodbye in the natural surroundings of the Cedar Hall, overlooking the meadows and woodland of the park.
We only offer two services a day so you can be assured that your time will be unhurried. The Cedar Hall offers flexibility to accommodate a service or gathering with facilities to create a personal farewell which truly reflects your loved one.
After the service you will have the opportunity to cherish some time alone in the Cedar Hall with your loved one.
A private vehicle will be used for the journey of your loved one to a nearby crematorium or a hearse can take your loved one from the Cedar Hall to a secluded area for the final journey onto the crematorium in a private vehicle. The ashes will be returned to Norfolk Bluebell Wood for you to collect.
Alternatively, you may choose the Meadow Transfer, allowing family and friends to gather outside the Cedar Hall to say a final farewell. The hearse departs from the Cedar Hall and makes a short journey before the coffin is transferred with care and dignity to a private vehicle for the final part of the journey to the crematorium.
Arrangements can be made with your funeral director for a weekday service in the Cedar Hall, either in the morning or afternoon, followed by an unattended cremation at a nearby crematorium.
The music provision is supported by Obitus utilising an accessible web platform to receive and manage the personal music choice of the family. A visual tribute can also be shown during the funeral providing a beautiful way to remember a loved one.
A live stream of the funeral service is also available with the option to view for a further 28 days.
Arrangements can be made for an interment in one of our peaceful habitats where you can revisit; to reflect and remember throughout the seasons.
